Mission
What is Level?
Level is a non-profit organization in Plymouth, Wisconsin that provides a safe place for high school students to hang out. Level is connecting to the youth. The group believes that by connecting the youth to our community and by having a safe environment to hang out in…that the youth will have a second chance to make positive choices: making the choice to turn away from the destructive forces of selfishness, immorality, alcohol and drugs, prejudice and so many other things that steal away their future. But more than that, it's turning their hearts toward good values and to guide them in each step of an amazing journey, which Level will offer them.
Why are we special?
We have two separate boards. The adult board is made of adults in our community. The college students are adults that are studying and being trained to provide leadership through informal guidance using individual assistance, small group, and drop-in activities. The teen board is learning how to run a non profit and the adults are there to assist however, who knows best what teens need? OTHER TEENS!
Goals
We have a dream that the teens will know that they have a place to go out every Saturday night, besides roaming the streets and being bored. And our ultimate goal will be to keep the youth connected and give them positive choices of things to do. Striving to help youth improve their lives, Level offers programs that build self-esteem and develop values and skills during the critical period of growth. Members come to Level looking for fun and a sense of belonging. Not only do they meet new friends, but they also learn and develop new skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. Our newest goal is to provide mentoring for our Junior High Students. Every day after school we provide mentors for the Pre Teens and host a dance for them the 2nd Friday of every Month. We have a goal to pay students to mentor by the beginning of fall 2010 school year.
